This notice explains what personal data Quality Medi World collects when you - a licensed pharmacy retailer - use its online ordering platform, why we collect it, and the rights you have under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP). Quality Medi World decides how your data is used (the “data fiduciary”). The platform is run on Quality Medi World’s behalf by Pharmulo as its technology processor.
1. Data we collect
- Account and identity: your name, mobile number, email address, shop name, and login credentials.
- Business and licensing: GST number, drug-license number and validity, and the licence document you upload for verification.
- Ordering activity: the orders you place, your cart, complaints and any photos you attach, and delivery records.
- Technical: your IP address at signup and login (to prevent abuse), device and session information, and error diagnostics.
2. Why we use it
- to verify you are a licensed retailer eligible to order from Quality Medi World;
- to take, process, and fulfil your orders and generate the wholesaler’s bills;
- to provide support, handle complaints, and communicate about your orders;
- to secure the platform and prevent fraud and abuse;
- to meet legal, tax, and drug-supply record-keeping obligations.
We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Consent and lawful use
By creating an account and placing orders you consent to the uses above. Where we must keep records under drug-supply or tax law, we rely on that legal obligation. You may withdraw consent for non-mandatory processing at any time, though this may prevent you from ordering.
4. Who your data is shared with
- Quality Medi World and its authorised staff.
- Pharmulo, as the technology processor, under a written agreement.
- Infrastructure providers strictly to run the service (hosting, database, secure document storage, and email delivery).
- Government authorities where required by law, such as a drug inspector or tax authority.
5. How long we keep it
We keep your account and order records for as long as your account is active, and afterwards for the period required by tax and drug-supply law. Abuse-prevention records (such as signup IP addresses) are kept only for a short period. Quality Medi World may hold additional retention obligations under law.
6. Your rights
Under the DPDP Act you may: access the personal data we hold about you; correct or update it; request erasure of data no longer needed for a lawful or record-keeping purpose; nominate another person to exercise your rights on your behalf; and raise a grievance.
7. Security
We protect your data with access controls, encryption in transit, private storage for licence documents, tenant isolation, and audit logging. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affecting you occurs, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board as the law requires.
8. Changes
We may update this notice; the “last updated” date above shows the latest version. We will tell you about material changes in the app or by email.
9. Grievance and escalation
To raise a grievance, or to access, correct, or erase your data, please contact Quality Medi World directly - the wholesaler you order from. They are responsible for your personal data on this platform.
If your grievance is not resolved, you may approach the Data Protection Board of India once it is operational.
